BEST ROAST I HAVE EVER HAD We went to Salt & Sage yesterday for the roast platter and WOW , what an absolutely incredible experience. From the moment the food arrived, we were blown away. The portions were huge and everything on the plate was cooked to absolute perfection. The potatoes were spot on, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and full of flavour. The meat was unreal. The chicken was easily one of the best I’ve had with a roast, perfectly cooked, so juicy and tender, and definitely not dry at all. You could tell real care had gone into it. We added the cauliflower cheese and honestly… it was next level. Rich, creamy, and indulgent, the kind you keep going back for even when you’re already full. Absolutely to die for. Hands down one of the best roasts we’ve had in a long time. Amazing food, generous portions, and a great atmosphere. Great place to eat and lovely staff Booked to eat here before going to Fareham Live to see Sky Full of Stars. Had a lovely meal and drinks. Staff were very accommodating. Jazz our waitress was lovely. We only wanted sharing platter so would recommend the antipasta and wedges.

Fantastic evening with very good friends and fantastic food! Just returned from an evening here with friends. We went for the special, sirloin steak cooked how we wanted, choice of potatoes (homemade wedges, stuffed baked potatoes or a salad,) choice of two vegetables, I had sweetcorn (beautiful) and green beans with tomatoes.. All came presented beautifully with large mushroom and vine tomatoes. The steak was so tender and served exactly how I like it (medium rare). There was also a bottle of house wine with the special (white, red or rosé) All this for £40.00 for two! We had coffee and cake (also lovely) for our pudding, which was extra, but not by any means expensive. The atmosphere was just right with music just at the right volume letting us chat easily. We were served by the lovely Reena who managed to be very attentive without ever being pushy or annoying (which definitely is an art!) Will we be visiting again? Absolutely!

Fab as always! Served by Natasha on our visit and she was lovely. In fact I have always had good service. Food was fab as usual. They did close the doors for us as we were cold. Great meals .. great service !! All our meals were fantastic.. great service from lily and all the staff .. I don’t want to highly recommend this great little bistro in case I can’t get a booking in the future.. but I will and will book well in advance..
